What an AI app builder does
An AI app builder takes a description of software and produces the software. The differences between builders are in what comes out and how much of it you can see. Some return a hosted app you can only change through chat. IDEA returns the source: every file is open to read, edit and export.
A brief can be a sentence or a page. "A booking system for a dental clinic with staff calendars and reminders" is enough for IDEA to plan the modules, the data models and the routes before any file is written.
What IDEA checks before you see the result
- Required files exist, each module has its create, read, update and delete routes, and every route is mounted.
- The real TypeScript compiler runs over the output, including imports between generated files.
- Every model response is validated against a schema, so a malformed reply is retried instead of shipped.
- A bounded repair pass fixes what the checks found, then the project is checked again.
These are automated checks, not a security audit or a guarantee. Treat the generated code as a strong starting point, and review and test it before you put it in production.
After the first generation
Chat answers questions about your real files without changing them. Refine edits the project and returns only what changed. A targeted patch shows you a diff before anything is applied. Each change that touches files creates a restore point.
