1. Agreement to terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of IDEA (also referred to as "IDEA Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), a service that generates full-stack software applications from natural-language requirements using large language models, along with related tooling for previewing, refining, and deploying that output (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What the Service does
You describe an application in natural language, or provide a design/reference input, and the Service generates project source files (frontend, backend, and data-layer code across several supported technology stacks), runs automated checks against that output (compilation, structural validation, and where available, sandboxed syntax/lint checks), and attempts to repair issues it detects. You can inspect every generated file, request refinements through conversational follow-ups, restore earlier checkpoints, and export or deploy the result.
The Service may operate using our own AI provider credentials (subject to usage limits) or credentials you supply yourself ("bring your own key"). Which stacks, features, and limits are available to you may change over time or vary by plan.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including through a guest session created before you sign in.
- You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to create an account. The Service is not directed at children, and you must not use it if you are under the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction without appropriate parental or guardian consent.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe has been compromised, used fraudulently, or used in violation of these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate, or attempt to generate, malware, phishing infrastructure, exploit code, or applications whose primary purpose is to violate the law or another person's rights;
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or quota controls, including by automating account creation or credential rotation;
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure, or probe it for security vulnerabilities without our authorization;
- Submit prompts, files, or requirements that infringe a third party's intellectual property, contain another person's private information without consent, or violate applicable law;
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service itself (as distinct from applications you build with it) without our written consent.
We may suspend access, remove content, or terminate an account that violates this section.
5. Generated content and ownership
As between you and us, you own the input you provide and the output generated for your projects, subject to the rights of the underlying AI provider and any third-party or open-source code, packages, or templates that generated code may reference or depend on. We claim no ownership over your generated applications. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any third-party dependencies your generated project pulls in.
Because output is produced by AI models, similar or identical prompts from different users may produce similar or identical code. We do not guarantee exclusivity of generated output.
6. No warranty on generated code
Generated applications are a starting point, not a guarantee of correctness, security, or production-readiness. The Service runs automated checks (compilation, structural validation, and, for supported stacks, sandboxed syntax/lint checks) and applies automated repairs where it can, but these checks do not constitute a security audit, a warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, or a substitute for your own review, testing, and professional judgment before deploying to production or handling real user data.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, securing, and maintaining any application you generate, deploy, or distribute using the Service.
7. Third-party providers and integrations
The Service relies on and can connect to third-party providers to function, including AI model providers (for generation), OAuth providers (for sign-in), source-control and hosting providers (for pushing code and deploying it), and a payments processor (for billing, where applicable). Your use of those integrations is also subject to that third party's own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for the availability, output, or conduct of third-party providers.
If you supply your own AI provider credentials, you are responsible for that provider's usage costs and for complying with that provider's terms. We store such credentials encrypted and use them only to service your requests.
8. Plans, quotas, and billing
Some features may be offered free of charge and others as part of a paid plan; which applies, and the usage limits attached to it, are described on our pricing page. The Service is currently free of charge; any new paid plan or charge will be announced on the pricing page at least 30 days before it takes effect. Regardless of plan, we may apply hourly or daily quota limits to protect the Service from abuse and to control shared infrastructure costs. Where paid plans are active, subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payments processor, and unless stated otherwise are non-refundable except where required by law. You may cancel a paid plan at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continued provision of the Service to you would create a legal or security risk to us or other users. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) continue to apply.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated output will be secure, bug-free, or suitable for any particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with the Service or applications generated using it, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you have not made any payment, whichever is greater.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by posting the updated Terms with a new effective date or notifying you through the Service. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity of the Service is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, unless a different governing law is required by applicable consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
14. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to the support contact listed in your account settings or on our website.
